Well, it’s finally time to start looking forward to our yearly trip out to DragonCon for go-round numero three. I’ve written Star at media relations and I’m awaiting confirmation on everything. If you want a look at the guests that have confirmed for this year, check out this link. Already I see RDA favorites Adam Baldwin and Voltaire, not to mention Peter S. Beagle and Summer Glau . . . and my nemesis, George Romero. I have a good few decades of nightmares I need to speak to him about . . .
Now’s the time to be thinking about what you, loyal listener, would like to ask these folks. We’ll do our best to track them down and present to them your queries.
I’m going to need crew, of course. I’ve already spoken to Glas and he’s eager (disturbingly so) to get back behind the mic once again. KC was wonderful with photos and of course I’ll be asking him to lend a hand. I’ll still need help; I’m in the market for a minder, someone who’s got the ability and the charm to handle the handlers while I talk to the talent. And this year it would be very helpful to have a third team . . . we missed out on a lot of interviews simply from the fact we only had two teams running abouts.
Please note that if you agree to do this IT IS A COMMITMENT. I really can’t afford to make arrangements for folks to help only for them to fall through on me. I can’t pay for travel or accomidations (though we might be able to all go in on a room or some such), but your badge for the entire weekend will be covered by the press pass, and you’ll have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interview some of the best and the brightest in sci-fi/fantasy today.
Other stuff might not be on track but this is, so let’s get to it.
